Meet Tessa Riley. She is the talented illustrator behind The Adventures of Scout and Kit children's book series. The whimsical details in her art is one of the many reasons Elise chose her to illustrate these magical books.  

 

Tessa was born in Georgia and then moved to Missouri, where she spent 10 years of her childhood. She attended Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia majoring in Visual Communication Design and minoring in Art History. There she enjoyed running cross country and track on the college team.

After graduation, Tessa spent time in Jackson Hole, Wyoming working on a ranch and horseback riding. There she met her fiance and the two lovebirds moved back to Virginia where they got married and bought the lovely Lovingston Winery.

Tessa loves the outdoors, hiking with her dog Roadie, and spending time with her family and many other animals on her farm. One of Tessa's passions is traveling and she had quite the adventure on her recent excursion to Alaska, where she went hiking in Denali.
